How we protect your money
In addition to providing award-winning service and delivering your payments promptly, we have your security in mind from the first phone call. Here is how we ensure you (and your funds) are protected at every stage of your transfer with us:
FCA authorised
Smart Currency Exchange Ltd is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under the Payment Services Regulations 2009 (FRN 504509) for the provision of payment services. If you’d like to confirm our FCA authorisation, please visit our listing on the FCA’s Financial Services Register. Our reference number is 504509.
Segregated accounts
All funds are transferred directly to a segregated client account with one of our banks, set up under FCA regulations. These accounts are pooled for all clients in the name of Smart Currency Exchange and the funds within them cannot be used for operational purposes by Smart Currency, including and in the event of administration or liquidation.
Your money will be transferred in, exchanged at the agreed rate and then transferred straight back out to your intended destination.
Personal account manager
Each client of Smart Currency Exchange is assigned a dedicated account manager who will walk you through every step of the exchange process, depending on your requirements.
